Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers to the most common questions about importing a used car from Korea.

Buying & Payment

How do I pay for a car?
Payment is by international bank wire transfer (SWIFT) to our Korean business account. We send you a commercial invoice with banking details once you confirm the car. For high-value orders, we can also split the payment into a deposit and a balance paid before shipping.
Do I need to pay the full amount upfront?
We typically take a deposit to secure the car (usually 20-30% of the vehicle price), then the balance before the car is shipped. For repeat customers and dealers, we can arrange more flexible terms.
Can I inspect the car in person before buying?
Yes. If you can travel to Korea, we'll arrange a viewing. If you can't, we'll send extra photos and videos on request, and we'll share the full Performance Inspection Certificate.
What if the car doesn't match the description when it arrives?
We hand-pick every car we list, and we share the Korean Performance Inspection Certificate and additional photos before purchase so you know exactly what you're buying. In the rare event something is misrepresented, we'll work with you to make it right.

Shipping

Which Korean ports do you ship from?
Most commonly Incheon, Pyeongtaek, and Busan. We pick the best route based on your destination port and your shipping method.
What shipping methods are available?
Two options: RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) is usually cheaper and faster. Container shipping is more protective and allows shipping personal items with the car, but is usually pricier.
How long does shipping take?
Roughly 2-6 weeks depending on destination. UAE: ~3 weeks. Central Asia: 4-8 weeks. East/North Africa: 4-6 weeks.
How much does shipping cost?
Depends on destination, shipping method, and vehicle size. Roughly $800-$1,500 for RoRo to most ports, $1,500-$3,000 for container shipping.
Can I track my car during shipping?
Yes. Once the car is loaded, you receive the Bill of Lading (B/L) which has the vessel name and voyage number. You can track the ship on free services like MarineTraffic.

Documents & Customs

What documents will I receive?
Commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading, the original Korean vehicle title (export certificate), and the Performance Inspection Certificate.
Do you handle customs clearance on my end?
We handle everything on the Korean export side. On your end, you (or a local clearing agent) handle import customs — duties, VAT, and registration with your country's motor authority.
What are the import duties in my country?
It depends on your country and the car. We have detailed guides for some markets (see our articles), and we're happy to estimate landed cost for your specific situation.
Will the car be registered in my name when it arrives?
Korean registration is canceled (deregistered) before export. You register the car in your own name in your country, using the documents we provide.

About Us

How are you different from the big platforms?
We're a small team that has been doing Korean exports for over a decade. We hand-pick every car we list, talk directly with Korean sellers (no middlemen), and you talk to the same person from your first inquiry to the day your car arrives.
Where are you based?
We're based in South Korea. We're not a faceless platform — when you message our WhatsApp, you're messaging a real person on our team.
Where have you shipped to?
We've shipped extensively to the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa over the past decade.
